South MS Chapter Canteens for Search Teams

Red Cross volunteers from the South MS Chapter spent Wednesday morning, December 8, providing hot coffee, cocoa and snacks to search teams in Vancleave. The law enforcement officers were searching for the body of missing three-year-old Chase DeBlase. A search dog and his team found the boy’s remains only two hours into the search, but Red Cross stayed on the scene to provide food for the forensics team who worked the crime area the rest of the day. Our restaurant partners, the Vancleave Subway and The Shed Bar-b-que, provided the meals.
